Leading Java clustering solution goes open source

Following the trend (or madness) that currently rocks the Java world a leading java clustering solution has been open sourced. Teracotta becomes OpenTeracotta and it seems they have decided against having more then one edition (professional/community) so basically if you need any of these features you might be in luck:

  • Heap-Level Replication
  • Cross-JVM Coordination
  • Large Virtual Heaps
  • Fine-Grained Changes
  • Runtime Management and Control
  • No Serialization

This brings some high-end enterprise features in reach to anyone and I hope this strategy will bring more clients to the Teracota team. In the end, if an open source solution brings quality to your enterprise, you should give something back. Download here. Tutorials here.
